How to: do outdoor living
Get your garden bank holiday ready
With not one but two bank holidays to look forward to this summer, we’re bringing the indoors out and getting our gardens ready for lazy Saturdays and sun-daze (see what we did there?) spent on the lawn.
Tropical print cushions, chunky side tables and mirrors will help to bring those little home comforts to your patio and transform it from standard to swanky in no time. And the best part? They’re water resistant, so you only need to bring them inside when the rain makes a comeback. Lucky they look pretty good in the living room too.
All these days off call for getting your friends round and serving up supper outside but it’s time to give your favourite china plates a break. Save yourself from shattered platters and opt for some printed melamine numbers instead. These palm print ones are so pretty, no one will even notice.
Whether you’re celebrating the bank hols or just making the most of that spot of sun, beverages are the order of the day. And pastels are in. Millennial pink is set to stay and these translucent glasses and jugs look great with some orange juice (or an Aperol Spritz) inside.
Take it to the park
And when summer calls for stepping outside, you can still get your homeware fix perched up in the park or at the beach. Long gone are the days of toting the big plastic cooler that completely spoils your outfit. This palm print cooler is so chic, you can use it to take to work too.
