At home on camera: watch our new styling video

We catch up with the stars of our homeware videos – plus watch the first one now!

Have you watched our new home styling video yet? Well, what are you waiting for! Sainsbury’s Textile Designer Louise is giving you tips to bring spring colour into your home, and soon Home Accessory Designer Amy (see with Louise below) will be showing you how to create a great seasonal display with plants.

Amy and Louise

In her video, Louise’s rules for giving your sofa a seasonal style-over include picking a single, spring-like colour palette, folding a throw over the back of the sofa and bringing your statement pieces – like a print cushion – to the front. She’ll also be sharing some instant tidy tips in another new video soon, but for now it’s all about stylish soft furnishings.

So how did it feel being in front of the camera for the day? Louise loved being on set and seeing professional stylist Susie Clegg – who will be featuring in her own video for Sainsbury’s soon – at work. Amy had this advice for anyone else appearing on camera: “Stay calm and be yourself – if you muck up you can always go again! And most of all enjoy it; it’s a great experience to be part of.”

Will you be refreshing your living room with a little extra colour this season? Let us know below!

Tip of the week

Asked to pick a favourite from Sainsbury’s spring/summer collections, Amy and Louise both chose Boho Chic for its white on white patterns, neutral colours and sparkling metallics. See it for yourself instore until the end of February, while stocks last.
