Need a little present-buying inspiration? Look no further

Struggling to think of who would like what gift this year? We ask Anna Grigg, a Sainsbury’s Gifting and Events buyer, for her expert advice.

I work on the gifting buying team at Sainsbury’s, where I spend my time sourcing and developing gifts for all your loved ones. We really do live and breathe Christmas all year round so it’s really exciting when the range finally launches in store!

I love finding the perfect gift, but I know that Christmas can be a hectic time and sometimes you just need some help with those difficult-to-buy-for people. I really do think we have something special for everyone in store, so here are some of my favourites.

Parents

Every parent deserves a lie-in now and then, so treat them to breakfast in bed with our beautiful breakfast set. I also think a nice gardening set is always a winner for those green-fingered parents!

Grandparents

One of my favourite pastimes is chatting with my grandma over a cup of tea and a biscuit. A pretty biscuit barrel is a perfect present and might mean you get extra tasty treats next time you visit!

Teenagers

I always think teens are by far the hardest to buy for, but they will love kitting out their bedrooms with a wall-mounted Coca-Cola bottle opener and retro Marvel comic mood light.

The love in your life

What better way to say ‘you’re my hero’ than with a Lego Superman clock? Super-fun and light hearted.
For any lady in your life I would recommend a cute cosie sheep – perfect for keeping toasty this winter.

My top tip for last-minute shoppers:

Don’t panic if you can’t decide on one perfect gift. When you’re under pressure it’s sometimes easier to pick up a few smaller gifts that you know they will love.
