    1. Dark botanical

As this year’s obsession with all things botanical continues, the Autumn/Winter update is darker and moodier, with luxurious, metallic accents. Inspired by natural flora with a fantastical twist, think cool Victoriana meets Alice Through the Looking Glass. Characterised by opulent, vintage patterns, blended with playful twists (like the gold effect pineapple objet, £12). You can either go all-out for the look with dark walls and fabrics or choose a few key pieces for a taster of the trend.

    2. Peaceful Scandi

Nordic style is the trend that simply won’t fade – and with good reason, too. It’s accessible and versatile so complements any taste or style. This season it’s all about a softer interpretation of the look, which means a harmonious blend of natural materials like stone, linen and wood, with powdery shades of blush, duck egg and mint. Delicate tree motifs decorate cushions and bed linen, and woven rattan accessories lend a nature-inspired feel.

    3. Rustic living

As the air turns crisper, the big interior designers of the season have turned to Canadian rustic cabins and back-to-basics ski lodges for inspiration. That means plenty of cool, cosy fabrics, heavy plaid and Argyll knits with a warm colour palette of burnt oranges, blended with kitsch accessories like camping-style lanterns and ornamental animal heads.

Go all out with this 3D moose head (part of a set of three wall hanging mini heads), £14, and red camping style lantern, £20 – perfect for creating cosy candlelight. Or simply add this small wooden rectangular frame, £10, or this cosy orange and navy check throw, £16, to a room for a more subtle interpretation.

    Plate

    Midnight Bloom platter, £10

Any Burberry Prorsum fans will know that its trench coats have been adorned with William Morris-style jacquards for this A/W15 season. It doesn’t take long for homewares to follow suit, so it’s no surprise our Midnight Bloom range features bold prints and rich colour palettes too. This unique ceramic platter is guaranteed to be a talking point at your next dinner party.
